AmmaBhoj – Terms of Use

Introduction

These Terms of Use govern your access to and use of the AmmaBhoj website, mobile application, and all related services (collectively referred to as the “Platform”). By accessing, browsing, registering on, or using the Platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use, along with the Privacy Policy, Cancellation & Refund Policy, and any other policies published on the Platform from time to time.These Terms of Use constitute an electronic record under the Information Technology Act, 2000 and applicable rules made thereunder. This page does not require physical or digital signatures and is legally binding.

Role of AmmaBhoj

AmmaBhoj is a technology-enabled marketplace facilitator. The Platform connects customers with independent home-chefs and independent delivery partners. AmmaBhoj does not prepare, cook, store, package, test, or sell food, and does not own, control, or operate any kitchens or delivery services.

User Categories

The Platform is used by the following independent user categories:• Customers• Home-Chefs (independent food providers)• Delivery Partners (independent logistics providers)Each user category operates independently and is responsible for its own actions and obligations.

Home-Chef Responsibilities

Home-chefs are solely responsible for food preparation, ingredients, hygiene, quality, portioning, packaging, labeling, pricing, availability, and compliance with all applicable laws, including FSSAI regulations and local food safety rules. AmmaBhoj does not verify, test, or guarantee food quality or suitability.

Food & Health Disclaimer

Food ordered through the Platform is prepared by independent home-chefs. Consumption of food is entirely at the customer’s discretion and risk. AmmaBhoj shall not be liable for food-borne illness, allergic reactions, dietary intolerance, medical conditions, or any health-related issues arising from consumption of food.

Delivery Partner Responsibilities

Delivery partners act as independent contractors and are responsible for safe pickup, handling, transport, and delivery of orders. Delivery timelines are indicative only. AmmaBhoj shall not be liable for delays, spillage, damage, loss, or any issues arising during transit.

Customer Responsibilities

Customers must provide accurate order details, delivery information, and allergy disclosures. Customers are responsible for checking food upon delivery and consuming it promptly. Any special dietary requirements must be communicated directly to the home-chef before ordering.

No Endorsement or Warranty

AmmaBhoj does not endorse, recommend, or guarantee any home-chef or delivery partner. The Platform is provided on an “as-is” and “as-available” basis without warranties of any kind, express or implied.

Payments & Platform Facilitation

AmmaBhoj facilitates payments between customers, home-chefs, and delivery partners through authorised payment systems. AmmaBhoj acts only as a limited payment collection agent and is not a banking or financial institution.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, and notwithstanding anything contained in these Terms, if any liability is imposed on AmmaBhoj by a court of competent jurisdiction, such liability shall be strictly limited to fifty percent (50%) of the total value of the order placed by the customer. AmmaBhoj shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, punitive, or consequential damages.

Indemnity

Home-chefs and delivery partners agree to indemnify and hold harmless AmmaBhoj, its directors, officers, and employees from any claims, losses, damages, penalties, or expenses arising out of food preparation, delivery services, regulatory non-compliance, or breach of these Terms.

Acceptable Use

Users agree not to misuse the Platform, upload unlawful or misleading content, interfere with Platform operations, or engage in conduct that violates applicable laws or the rights of others.

Account Registration & Eligibility

Users must be at least 18 years of age to use the Platform. Users are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of account credentials and all activities conducted through their account.

Suspension & Termination

AmmaBhoj reserves the right to suspend or terminate access to the Platform if a user violates these Terms, applicable laws, or Platform policies.

Third-Party Services

The Platform may contain links or integrations with third-party services. AmmaBhoj is not responsible for third-party content, services, actions, or omissions.

Governing Law & Jurisdiction

These Terms of Use shall be governed by the laws of India. Courts located in Chennai,Tamil Nadu shall have exclusive jurisdiction.

Grievance Redressal

In accordance with applicable laws, users may contact the designated Grievance Officer using the contact details published on the Platform.
